Dalgona Coffee in 7 simple steps

Coffee instantly brings to our mind its refreshing aroma & instantly increases our energy.

But hey theres a new coffee drink which is currently making huge storm in social media circles. Yes you are right Dalgona Coffee which became very popular from South Korea (but many believe it has its root in Indian Subcontinent known as whipped coffee) & is becoming extremely popular worldwide for its taste & simple recipe.

So why you should be left behind in trying this delicious refreshing coffee drink ? In 7 simple steps you can make this yourself at your home itself.

So lets first note the ingredients required for making Dalgona Coffee (serves 2) :

a) 2 tablespoon Instant coffee
b) 2 tablespoon sugar
c) Hot water
d) Chilled Milk approx 400 ml ( or 2 serving glasses filled upto approx 2/3 rd of the glass).
e) 4 or 6 Ice cubes
f) Mixing Bowl
g) Hand whisker (optional)
h) Transparent Serving glass

With all the ingredients ready lets start making the coffee following the below steps:
1) Take 2 tablespoon of instant coffee in the bowl.
2) Add 2 tablespoon of sugar to it.
3) Then add 3 tablespoon of hot water to the mixture.
4) After adding the above 3 ingredients in the mixing bowl gently start whisking them together with hand whisker if you have one or whisk them manually with help of a fork. Slowly the mixture starts turning light brown & becomes fluffy creamy.

5) Add 3 or 4 ice cubes in the serving glass.
6) Pour the milk about 2/3rd of the serving glass.
7) Fill the remaining 1/3 rd portion with the whipped coffee cream you freshly made & voila your Dalgona Coffee is ready to serve.

You can be creative & create patterns on the whipped coffee cream to make it look more attractive. To make it look more appealing you can sprinkle a bit of sugar & instant coffee on the top as done by my 9 year old niece Ashvika as shown in the below image.

Ashtavinayak Yatra : Worshipping Lord Ganesha

Last Diwali festival season my office was closed for four days long weekend vacation. To make the most of my time I booked  Ashtavinayak Yatra  tour with one of many tour operators in Mumbai. The tour was of 3 days & 2 nights. So myself with my parents joined the tour of Ashtavinayak Darshan (means to worship 8 Ganeshas).  The tour bus picked us up @ 7:30 am & more families joined us on route. Our first destination was Varad Vinayak in Mahad village. We reached there @ 9:30am. It is one of the Ashtavinayak temple in Mahad  village near Khopoli & Karjat in Raigad, M aharastra. The temple also has a Shiv Mandir in its premises. The original Ganesh idol was found in a lake adjoining the present temple premises, but as time passed the original idol developed cracks & hence after proper rituals it was immersed in the lake & later was placed in a glass frame in Datta mandir near the present temple. The Datta mandir has main idol of Lord Datta & also ha
