Noise!!
We are all accustomed to different types of noises we hear due to the activities going on around us. But have you ever heard the noise of silence? I bet you have but in different situations. I would like to share my experience on same with you all.
Like any normal day I got up in morning for office & after gulping down few bites of my breakfast I rushed out of home for my office. I took the elevator for going down but due to some fault it got stuck in between. I generally leave early morning for office. So although I rang the alarm bell there was no one to help at that time of the morning. I was not able to call anyone for help as mobile network was also not available inside the elevator. I was really tensed inside & tried to draw attention by banging the doors by hand but in vain. There was no noise outside or inside the elevator. There was only pin drop silence. For a moment I thought are my ears functioning correctly or not.
I could actually hear my heart beat that moment. The silence around me was deafening. I was dying to listen to some voice....some one who would talk to me....help me...but in vain. Suddenly I heard a voice inside my head. It asked me is this the same situation our parents face everyday? What? Is it really true? Why yes of course... everyday we rush out for our office not even realising that we have not even said bye or wished them a great day. This may be true for many of you also as in our daily busy routine we forget to talk to our parents who have sacrificed so much in their life for our upbringing. We daily leave them alone in a vacuum space which we call home. I could relate myself with their feelings as inside the elevator I was feeling restless as there was no one around with whom I could share my fear my anxiousness. Same happens with our parents when we leave them alone at home. They are stuck inside huge rooms with no one around with whom they could talk or share their feelings. There are just walls around them. We feel we have given them all best facilities possible for there well being, but is it so? Everyday morning we are busy to get ready & reach office on time. Evening we reach home tired & nowadays we are mostly busy on social medias or watching TV. We don't feel the need to communicate with our parents. They wait patiently to get a chance to talk with us but we usually tend to ignore them & their feelings. They are full day stuck in their big elevators waiting for us to come & rescue them out of the silent zone.
Inside the elevator that morning I was feeling restlessness & suffocated. I was helpless as all my calls for help was going down in vain. At last the security guard pressed the emergency button of the elevator which brought the elevator down to the nearest floor & opened the door. I cannot explain how relieved I felt to come out of silent zone to our normal noisy routine.
Similarly my friends we should give time to our parents & talk to them daily so that they are also rescued out if their silent zone & welcomed back to normal routine. Let us give them their time which they rightfully deserve. It will make both of us happy. Let us eliminate the silent noise around our parents who love us the most.
